Where do Live Oaks grow in the US?

The Live Oak Tree (scientifically known as Quercus virginiana), thrives in the warm, humid climates of USDA Zones 7-10, preferring well-drained soil but adaptable to a variety of soil types, from sandy to clay.  Its ability to endure coastal conditions, including salt spray and occasional flooding, alongside its resistance to pests and diseases, makes it a resilient and versatile choice for a wide range of souther landscapes.

Preserve Aggie History with Century Trees

Aggie Century Tree, Inc. is dedicated to raising and selling century trees grown from the historic Century Tree on Texas A&M University's campus. All profits from tree sales fund Aggie scholarships and student aid, including the Ring, Boot, and tuition scholarships. In 2008, Andy Duffie, from the Fightin' Texas Aggie class of '78 started and created the Aggie Century Tree Project. However, we lost Andy in 2020. In 2021, Aggie Century Tree, Inc. continues Andy's legacy to "pass it back, Ags" by raising funds for scholarships and student aid by providing some of Aggieland to your home or farm.

Aggie Century Tree, Inc. and Aggie Century Tree Project are two distinct organizations, yet the vision and passion that began in 2008 endures for Aggies everywhere.
